Free Dataset, again

Thanks to harry seldadyo, A friend of mine. He informed us these two resourceful data sites. All are free and could be extremely useful.

1. Development Economics Data, on the blogspot!

2. Free Data: compilation of Public Domain Data from the US Government, regional data sites, demographic, economic, political, social, and misc.

Maybe I should create permanent links on this blog to those kind of sites. Later ya!

International Political Economy Dataset

Dear readers,

Just stumbled upon this interesting site: Program in Statistics and Methodology, Department of Political Science, Ohio State University. This is one of the most comprehensive data compilations in the area of politics, international politics, and international political economy on the web. You will find a bunch of links to numerous exciting data sources. Take a special note on Paul Hensel’s international relation dataset, this one is the best. You may also be interested in one of the most ambitious projects in political data compilation, the Polity IV Project

This site also provides links to various statistical software sources. You may find programming module for Stata, SAS, LISREL, and S Plus, among others.

Readers who are interested in the study of political economy, quantitative politics, institutional economics, and etc, would find this site extremely appealing. Enjoy!!
